Format: Full Galaxy Scenario (Scenario)
Fleet Admiral Benji, SCFA def. (Fleet) Admiral Razor (852-748)

Stoke the fire again! You would think after having this kind of game multiple times already, we would have learned our lesson and not even thought about these kinds of idiotic games. Yeah well, there goes that theory. This armagddon would be the one to end them all, as this would be the last time a map with every location would be fesable. We split up the teams in the fairly typical way, Razor taking the Federation, Klingon, Bajoran, Ferengi, Vidiian, and Terran Empire, and I had the Cardassian, Dominion, Romulan, Non-Aligned, Kazon, Klingon-Cardassian Alliance, and Borg affiliations. It roughly balanced out given the number of Federation toys to be wielded in the Delta Quadrant.
The chaos began as it nearly always has, Razor jumping out to an early lead by actualy solving missions instead of battling. I've never quite caught on to the concept during this kind of game. Under the rules for this game, each person would recieve victory points equal to his total points divided by 100 rounded up. Shortly into the game, Razor recieved his promotion to Fleet Admiral. It was a shining moment.
The main idea of this game is to, of course, create some armageddon. That said, there was not much action at the begining. The Alpha Quadrant powers were too far away from each other to do much battling. The Delta Quadrant however, has plenty of powerful people neatly stacked on top of each other. Razor was crusing the area in his Vidiian Cruiser and USS Equinox. Thanks to a few range enhancing drones my cube was able to pusue and destroy the Equinox. After outposts began falling, Razor more or less abandoned the Delta Quadrant and escaped with a sizeable array of people into the Barzan Wormhole. Not wanting to loose my rather hefty fleet of a Borg Cube and Kazon Warship, they stayed in the Delta for a while longer.
Now that one Quadrant was pacified, it was time to create some havoc elsewhere. The Mirror Quadrant looked ripe for the picking. Geez, did I get put in charge of the 7th Cavalry without being told? (in case you don't know, that was Custer's unit) My memory is a little hazy on this point, but needles to say we each had 4 or 5 ships with reserves on the way from the Alpha and Gamma Quadrants. At the end of it, the were a couple of ships left as burning wrecks in space, most destroyed, and I think I emerged with someone left alive. I did not have enough left to finish off the Terran HQ, but since Razor did not have any more personnel to play there, it was a moot point.
The next theoretical target would have been Deep Space Nine. Underscore that theoretical. Seeing as most of my ships in the area were no longer with us, DS9 was no longer a high priority. Thus the mission solving began again. It was a race to the finish. I was lucky and managed to pull away with Razor's large crews being hit by unfortuante dilemmas.
So solving missions was again a necessary evil to victory. But the blood flowed freely and carnage raged through the galaxy. Razor recieved his promotion and with a final push moved ahead of our retired commrade Bockers into 2nd place. I was able to destroy ships, it was a good day. The next time around for an armageddon style game will not be one with all missions, but that just means the people playing will be that much closer together.
"Time is on our side. We will bury you."
