The Kinksters (Bockers and Wolfe) def. The DLB's (Benji and Razor) 1070-167
Well this was an interesting one. The theory was interesting, three affiliations per side so one person would controlone and the other would have two with all missions being played. We changed the teams this time so Bockers had the Klingons and Bajorans and was teamed up with Wolfe who was Federation. Razor was Cardassian and Romulan and I was Borg.
The layout of the missions (which has since been lost) created a curious problem to be solved before the game even began. Within a very short amount of time, it would be possible to Stop First Contact and thus erase Wolfe from the game. This would obviously make the day much more difficult for Bockers, if not impossible for him to win.
The game started out as expected: Bockers was running to Earth to protect it and I was running to it to assimilate the past. As far as I remember, there was going to be a problem with me probing after him attacking. In any case, I didn't deem it possible anymore. Razor questioned me but I had the idea I'd go get a Persistance of Memory to undo the impending supernova and finish him in a few turns. By the time Bockers came up on Earth he had a Kurlan on his ship and was looking for blood. He found it. It took only a little time to dismantle mine and Razor's ships. We spent the rest of the day watching them destroy us. Ionce was able to get a cube back into the alpha quadrant only to have a dozen or so Rogue Borg dumped onto it.
So, yeah... this disaster turned me off of the game for quite some time. In later crazy games we determined to not calculate differential in these games since it can get a little out of hand.
