First off, let me just say that this sort of tournament was nothing like anyone has ever tried before, and I wouldn't recommend anyone try it either. The seven hour game got off to a flash start with Razor taking Patrol Neutral Zone for a fast 50 points (rules had included another location in the neutral zone) then raced to finish off another mission and got an additional 35. With Mission Debriefing out, each team could only go so far and made red-shirting almost a neccessary evil. Benji brought out the big guns in pursuit of Razor and Romulus, so in a half tactical/half suicidal manuver, Razor used the Tox Uthat he had on the table on his turn and removed the Romulan homeworld from the map, and his main ship in the process. Bockers spent the early part of the game getting crews established and praparing for the assault to come. Wolfe had a similar idea and got out teams and prepared for what turned into a total scoring drive late in the game. Both Razor and Bockers capitalized on some unfortunate problems to Borg vessels and scored 45 and 50 points respectively on salvage opperations. The second half saw more trouble for Razor as his second and third waves came up terribly short compared to Wolfe's Future Enterprise with three of each Nutational and Metaphasic Shields with Padds and Kits aboud, and a Kurlan Naiskos as the icing on the cake. It seemed like no one could stand up to the Federation superstorm, and in the end no one could. Benji finally came out and pulled out clean-up detail gaining 155 points on picking up the pieces from previously completed missions and a Salvage Starship. When time expired, Wolfe had flashed out to over 600 points, leaving all his opposition burning in space and taking the tournament title for the second time. Going against his usual battle cry (in fact the exact antonym), Wolfe was quoted as saying a resounding, "YES!!!" Bockers well pleased with his second place finish stated, "I feel that justice was served." Hopefully, by the next tournament (after Bocker's Royal Rumble) things will be back to normal and we'll all be able to calm down for some old-fashioned swiss action. Prepare yourself!
