A new experience for all as we played our first sealed deck tournament. After it took Bockers a LONG time to finally get his deck together, the first round began and ended just as fast for Bockers, as Razor attempted one mission, encountered a Q-flash, scored 100 points from a Gift of the Tormentor, gave two points to Bockers from a Mandarin Bailiff (for the heck of it), and finished the mission to end up with 128 to Bockers' 2. On the other side, a close battle between Benji and Wolfe ended about the same time in a 119-90 scorcher. The second round marked the return to the finals for Benji and Razor. A well played game between these two hit its turning point when Razor played his Red Alert card and dropped down about 7 personel to give his crew enough ability to attempt a few missions and score 125 points while Benji tried valiantly to catch up at the last second. The consolation match lasted quite some time and left Bockers banging his head on the table. A few mistakes cost him in the long run, giving Wolfe the edge and the win (112-78). Bockers, being shut out in the last two tournaments, stated, "Next time. I'll win it next time!" Razor, the first two-time tourney winner said, "It was tough, but in the end, I came up with a better deck."
