Simple Description: points(+/- differential)
The scoring format to determine First Edition ranking in the Forest Lake Federation is one used by Decipher during tournament play. Points are scored as follows:
When there is a tie in points, the differential is used as the tie breaker. The differential is determined by the number of points between the winning and losing players in a match. For example: Player A wins a match 100-75 over player B. Player A will get two points for the victory and gain a differential of +25. Player B will recieve 0 points for the loss and lose a differential of -25. The standings will then be player A=2(+25) and player B=0(-25). If a game's score goes over the objective score (i.e. a score of 114-85 in a game to 100), the objective score will be used to set the differential. As stated in the previous description, a score of 114-85 would be a differential of 15 points, since the objective score was 100 (100-85=15 points differential).
Scores and differential points are cummulative and carry all through the membership of the player. Score clarifications will be taken into account when deciding differential points. Any changes will be recorded and the rankings adjusted as needed.
