As was the story most of the year, most of the group was too busy to do anything, but I had a chance to go enjoy a little combat in Falcon Heights again. With Blaze of Glory released the week preceeding the event, a lot of new strategies were formed. Over half of the players were using the new Tactic cards, and battle was on everyone's mind. I had a chance to engage in a little battle myself in my last match and took care of the Federation forces with a little Romulan firepower. Congrats to everyone, to the qualifiers, and I look forward to the action on Saturday, October 9th, at The Source, as the Tau Alpha C Regional Finals take place. Good luck to everyone!

Oh, a little news update for those who didn't know: The two finalists at worlds this year were both from Minnesota! Mike Harrington (winner) and Dan Allman fought their way to the final round. Also, the group of players Mike plays with won the team competition. A MN repeat next year? We'll just have to wait and see.
