Well, we came, we saw, we played hard. Three of the FLF's delegation went to the Beta 3 regional this past weekend and hit some tough opposition. The day started very early to get to the site before registration. A total of 28 people registered, and 26 finished. Commodore Benji had the most luck, winning his first two games and sitting high on the rankings for a while, playing some tough opponents. Captain Razor lost his first game to what turned out later to be a very illegal strategy, but too late to bring it up and reverse the game. Razor had a bye the second round when his opponent failed to show. Commodore Bockers had a tough time throughout the matches, winning his second round and a later match due to deck exhaustion. The major highlight for the FLF came in round 6 when Bockers and Razor played a game against each other. having worked on each other's decks during the previous week, each knew the other's stratagy inside and out, but it turned out to be a tough and hard fought battle, ending in a virtual stand-still at 44-(-18) with Razor earning the technical win. A special congratulations to Benji for his 12th place finish, and to everyone from around the region who played this weekend. Also to Jason Winter, the tournament director for helping us all and getting things together. We all hope to return next year and go for the top.
